Dagmar is an indie classical, harmony driven band currently based out of Iowa. A new music project with history, Gemma Cohen (vocals, bass) and Miranda Mallard (vocals, keyboard, guitar) are Dagmar's core. They have attained sister status after having sung together for over 8 years in the trio Rock Paper Scissors. Now a duo, and anchored in their prairie homeland, Gemma and Miranda create original music rocking their curly manes. Harmonies continue to be a staple for this duo along with influences ranging from Phillip Glass to the Fleet Foxes. The story of Russian live-looping scene heroes Synoptix starts with their debut album "Tesla" released in 2010 and created by two musicians Vitaliy Finsky (beatbox) and Denis Burkhanov (guitars). During the whole period of time since the duo was made, it performed at several different festivals including Kazantip, received a number of awards such as the main prize at Loop Station World Championship Russia 2012, and also toured Germany in 2012. In 2013 Synoptix takes a new musical direction and makes vocals an integral part of its music: therefore Alex Lynch joins the band as its full-time vocalist which brings changes to the trio's sound. During 2014 Synoptix continues working on its new songs, and also films a live video for the track "Booze". Currently, the guys are preparing their new live set which they are successfully performing with already.

They've created an extensive and critically acclaimed body of work across seven EPs - S/T (2008); The Mini EP (2009); At the Mercy of the Elements (2010); The Big Scary Four Seasons (Autumn/Winter/Spring/Summer) (2010) - and five full-length albums - Vacation (2011); Not Art (2013); Animal (2016); Daisy (2021); Me and You (2022) - which have seen nominations and wins at the AIR Awards, J Awards, ARIA Awards and the Australian Music Prize. Their newly announced 6th LP 'Wing' will be out Feb 16th 2024, on the label they co-founded with their manager Pieater.
