I have been a church organist for 44 years & a pipe organ builder for the same length of time. I run a small firm of church organ builders & we usually have a playable instrument in our workshop. The current restoration project, is an 1865 tracker action (mechanical manuals) Forster & Andrews organ. I have another YouTube account specifically for organ building/restoration under "ConacherG0OJF". I am absolutely passionate about hymns played on the organ, and this YouTube channel is to reflect my interest. I play at 7 churches, so get some variety of instrument, though most organs are quite small in this area, and all were built pre-1910. Organ consoles were more standardised after 1914, so earlier instruments are always interesting to play. Many have ratchet swell pedals rather than the more usual & modern 'balanced' type. I have a strict rule for organs in the workshop, that wherever possible if a ratchet swell pedal is fitted on an organ, then we retain it. Richard (May 2023)

We are husband and wife duo harpists who have been performing since 1976. We had no music background, only a burning desire to play music. After trying several different instruments with no success, our deep yearning led us to harps. We called a harp teacher and asked, Are we too old? Does it matter that we can't read music? Age and lack of rudimentary skills were not deterrents. Thus began our adventure with our harps.
