Lionel is a Johannesburg-based musician with a unique global perspective. Born in South Africa, he spent his formative years in Portugal, where European music deeply influenced him. His teen years were dedicated to his band, Palvray, whose music he later self-released on Soundcloud (2012-2013). In 2017, a documentary chronicling his early musical journey sparked the "i am Lionel" project. While not seeking global fame, Lionel is driven by a desire for honest, meaningful self-expression. His music, released digitally, reflects this personal journey. Now with 22 years of musical experience, Lionel continues to pursue his passion, hoping to connect with listeners who resonate with his sound.
