Né à Dakar grandi à Kaolack, le jeune homme a très tôt tété les mamelles du hip hop galsen et décide de s’y mettre dès l’âge de 14 ans. Depuis l’an 2000 il n’a jamais cessé de remuer ciel et terre pour exceller dans ce domaine. Et comme le stipule le dicton wolof « kheuthie bou dogoule dikk », il est devenu un maillon incontestable du mouvement hip hop Sénégalais. Parmi tant d’autres moyens, il a pris le hardcord comme son cheval de bataille. Et de là il se proclame comme un servant défenseur du peuple, une voix des sans voix et un lutteur sans relace contre l’injustice et la discrimination. Ce jeune rappeur de son vrai noms Cherifou Younousse Traoré se fait appelé RIFOU qui se trouve être un diminutif de son prénom apparemment mais cache d’autres choses derrière. En effet ce même nom est un sigle wolof qui signifie Rap-biye Indi Foulaye Ormale Under. Traduit autrement cela signifie le rap qui impose le respect de l’underground c’est-à-dire la base.

Born in 1997, he grew up to his parents 80s music & his siblings 90s music. In 2011, he learned how to produce on FL Studio. He's inspired by producers 9th Wonder J Dilla The Alchemist MIKE DEAN Daft Punk Metro Boomin Cardo Wheezy Illangelo & Goyxrd. In 2019, he did 2 EPs. In 2021, he did his 3rd EP THANK YOU GOD.
