For a long time, I tried really hard to avoid labeling myself as a singer-songwriter when people would ask me to describe the music I make and play. Not sure why that was, but only in the last year have I gotten over that. This channel will mostly be comprised of covers of my favorite songs, or songs I just can't get out of my head, but then also some original songs thrown in the mix, and the occasional vlog-rant. You can find my music on all streaming services under Comrade Goose, and I'd really love for you to listen. I've got political songs. I've got songs about heartbreak, grief, and sorrow. And sometimes I've got it all wrapped up in one song.

Union J, catapulted into the mainstream, after being hand-picked and brought together by boy band mogul Louis Walsh during the ninth series ITV’S The X Factor. Performing each week, they quickly amassed a loyal fanbase and went on to finish fourth in the competition, and subsequently signed to RCA records, releasing their debut single Carry You just six months later in summer 2013. Before their disbanding in 2016, Union J achieved success, with 4 UK Top 10 singles (including 2 No.1 Physical singles) and a debut UK Top 10 album, Winning Best British Breakthrough at the BBC Teen Awards, selling out arena shows, performing to millions on National TV, and making their Hollywood debut as ‘Heartthrobs’ on Kick-Ass 2 performing their standout single Carry You. A decade on, all four original members of Union J are reuniting to celebrate their 10th Anniversary, performing at London’s iconic, illustrious West End Theatre, The London Palladium, on 28th May 2022.

A quarter-century later, elementary school buddies Raul Bianchi, Adam Peterson and Geoff Weers, along with bassist Ryan DeMars, who joined in 2000, have forged a unique sound born in the laid-back beach life in their hometown of Santa Cruz, CA. The Expendables’ infectious hybrid of ska, surf-rock, punk, reggae and metal can be heard in their latest streaming track, “Surfman Cometh,” a spaghetti-western meets “Pipeline” twang that could easily form the soundtrack to the latest Quentin Tarantino film. The song is the first release from the group’s new and improved Band Room, their longtime rehearsal space in a 1,100 square foot warehouse and former wine cellar on Coral Street, where Adam Patterson took charge of the final mix to great effect.
