香港浸會大學音樂系畢業生，曾跟隨香港管弦樂團第二小提琴副首席樂手梁文瑄小姐及香港小交響樂團樂手林新駿先生研習小提琴。謝氏以優良成績考獲皇家音樂學院小提琴八級文憑。於香港浸會大學就讀期間，謝氏曾隨香港古樂團前往英國、北京等地表演，甚獲好評。謝氏曾為維希納結他樂團團長，曾隨團於香港大會堂高座演奏廳、沙田大會堂、荃灣大會堂等地作小提琴、結他獨奏及合奏演出。先後於凱聲琴行和柏斯琴行任教古典結他和小提琴達十年之久，曾教授年齡由五歲開始以至成年人。
La Música Primitiva Apolo d'Alcoi es una entidad sin ánimo de lucro que tiene sus orígenes musicales en 1830. Cuenta con la Banda Titular, una Banda Juvenil y con la Escuela de Música "Amando Blanquer", ubicada en las mismas instalaciones.
