Born in Augusta, GA, Marcus has actually been groomed in the modern day "Chitlin circuit" of small clubs in local bands. Back in 2012 he moved to Atlanta to pursue his career in music full time. He considers his style as "true musicianship" with his guitar as the central point of his artistry. His eclectic travels have led him to work with Producers/Artists such as Jazze Pha, Shondrae Bangladesh Crawford, Grammy Nominated Artist Case, Grammy Nominated Artist Raheem DeVaughn and Grammy Nominated Producer Travis Cherry.... For electric I Play single coil guitars, I think you get a more personalized voice, and more dynamics. Acoustic wise I have a Martin ooo, wicth I play a lot and it keeps sounding better. I just got an AER compact 60, wow that thing smokes! Will upload demo of it soon. I dont try to sound like anybody but yes we all copy here and there,that's the only way to learn. My last 2 bands-one was a all cover band songs from van halen to Donald fagen, very wide range. The other was a blues band we covered most srv songs and many other greats. After playing live you kind of "leave the original" and start playing your own version with respect of course to the original. I've been playing acoustic fingerstyle lately so more vids coming up Please note that i dont use a 5000$ guitar, and not a 2000$ mic, and I dont have the perfect setting, I just use the Zoom q3hd, and really wing it,and have fun, learn the song, and upload it.
