برنامج The X Factor العربي هو نسخة عربية من برنامج المواهب العالمي الشهير The X Factor، والذي يهدف إلى اكتشاف المواهب الغنائية المتميزة في العالم العربي. البرنامج ليس مجرد مسابقة غنائية تقليدية، بل هو رحلة للبحث عن نجم متكامل يمتلك "العامل الإضافي" الذي يميزه عن غيره. يركز البرنامج على أكثر من مجرد جمال الصوت، حيث يبحث عن موهبة قادرة على تقديم أداء متكامل يجمع بين الصوت القوي والكاريزما، الحضور الجذاب، والقدرة على التأثير بالجمهور. الهدف هو اكتشاف فنان شامل يمكن أن يصبح نجماً في مجال الغناء والترفيه.
