東員町は三重県の北部に位置しています。まちの中央には員弁川が流れ、稲作を中心とした田園が広がっています。東と北は桑名市、西はいなべ市、南は四日市市に隣接し、東西5キロメートル、南北7.3キロメートル、総面積22.66平方キロメートルの行政区域を有しています。 　平成16年にオープンした中部公園には、大型遊具やパークゴルフ場、バーベキュー施設などがあり、憩いの場所として多くの方々に親しまれています。 　春には桜、秋にはコスモスといった見どころも多く、歴史が感じられる伝統文化も引き継がれています。 　まちの面積は大きくはありませんが、こうした豊かな自然や受け継いできた歴史・伝統がまちの大きな魅力となっています。
