Drei Kontinente haben sie in dieser Zeit bereist, sind 56.000 Kilometer weit gefahren, und dass in einem 30 Jahre alten VW Bus. In Pakistan richteten Soldaten die Waffen auf sie, die Iraner überwältigen das Paar mit ihrer Gastfreundschaft und China nervt sie mit seinem Kontrollwahn. Unzählige weitere Erlebnisse begleiten sie auf der Strecke über Indien, Nepal, Tibet/China, Laos, Thailand, Kambodscha, Malaysia und Singapur, bevor sie ihren VW Bus, genannt Orangetrotter, nach weiteren 20.000 Kilometern durch Australien, in Melbourne im Container zurück nach Deutschland verschiffen.
